What do I need to expect during a beach volleyball tryout?

  • Beach tryouts is only an evaluation and to showcase the beach program. Every player that signs up for beach, makes the program.

Do I need to attend tryouts?

  • No. You can directly sign up with the program. The tryouts is only an evaluation and to showcase the beach program. You will learn more info about the program at tryouts. Every player that signs up for beach, makes the program.

How does the beach volleyball program work?

  • There are 19 weeks from April 16 to August 26. You can register for a full 19 week program.
  • You can also register for different weeks within the 19 week program. It does not have to be consecutive weeks. Minimum of 4 weeks if the player is not registering for the full program.
  • For example: You can select Week 4, 8, 11, & 14 based on your family's summer schedule. The beach program is very flexible.

Do I need a partner for tryouts or to be in the program?

  • No. You can have a preferred partner.
  • If you do not have a preferred partner, coaches will assign a partner to you according to the player's level of play and chemistry.

Do I need to attend all specific tournaments to be in the final championship tournament? (P1440, Silicon Valley, & Norcal Junior)?

  • No. However, it is a point based ranking system to qualify to be able to play in the championship tournament/match. The more tournaments you attend, you more points your team will receive. 
  • Each tournament listed is a different tournament. P1440, Silicon Valley, and Norcal Juniors are all different tournaments. Participating in a specific tournament will only give you points in that specific tournament. The more tournament dates, (example: P1440) you participate in, the more points you will receive for only P1440 that will go towards the championship tournament.

Can I play any tournament if I don't want to play in the finals?

  • Yes. You can join any tournament and they all will have their own prices. The beach program is very flexible.

Do I need a partner to register for a tournament?
